Faculty Hub Space
The Faculty Hub, located on the third floor of Boatwright Memorial Library is designed to support faculty in achieving their teaching and scholarship goals (directions). With three reservable meeting spaces, multiple writing/reading areas, and an audio/video production studio, the Faculty Hub offers opportunities for faculty to engage with colleagues and support staff. Below are some examples of ways our space can be utilized.
- Engaging with Faculty Hub staff in support of your teaching and scholarship
- Hosting meetings for faculty groups (FLCs, committee meetings, etcetera)
- Creating high-quality media recordings (podcast, video lectures)
- Enjoying a quiet “getaway” for writing
- Experimenting with new classroom technology to prepare for future in-class learning activities
- And much more…
Many spaces in the Faculty Hub can be reserved by faculty for meetings, classroom experiments, and/or other faculty development activities (see below). We also have space that will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We ask that all use of the Faculty Hub space be for faculty-focused activities only. Faculty, instructional staff, or staff who support faculty in their teaching and scholarship can reserve the room in EMS.
Reservable Spaces
Four of our spaces in the Faculty Hub are reservable by faculty in the University's Event Management System. Space availability can be found here.
Reservations can be made at ems.richmond.edu. Learn more about how to reserve a Faculty Hub space with EMS here.
Non-Reservable Spaces
To accommodate walk-ins, the Faculty Hub also has spaces that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. These rooms are available to faculty at any time and cannot be reserved in advance.
